South Amboy’s a popular town to live in for commuters, with the South Amboy NJ Transit Train Station right in town going straight to cities like Newark, Secaucus, Manhattan, and more. The station was recently updated, and there is a designated parking lot for customers. For driving commuters, access to the Garden State Parkway and Route 9 is only minutes away.

Besides its breathtaking bayside view, South Amboy is known for its welcoming, family-friendly atmosphere. One of the reasons the town attracts so many growing families is its excellent school system. The district is very highly rated and is known for its dedicated teachers and staff. The South Amboy Public Schools serve students in pre-K through 12th grade. The district has two schools and just about 1,100 students and 90 classroom teachers.
