Wall Township is a 31- square mile suburban community in Monmouth County with a population of just under 26,000. The township was established in 1851 through an Act of NJ Legislature by the then-Governor, George Fort. The area got its name from Garret Dorset Wall, a US Senator from New Jersey. The Wall Township Historical Society works hard to preserve the rich American history woven within the inner workings of the town.
Wall is just west of several of the Jersey Shore’s best-known beach towns, like Spring Lake, Sea Girt, and Manasquan. Even though it’s so close to the beach, several sections of Wall still maintain a quiet rural atmosphere, like it did when it was once largely farmland. As far as schools, Wall’s school district is highly rated. There are four public elementary schools that serve students in Kindergarten through 5th grade. There’s also an intermediate school and Wall High School. Furthermore, there are several private schools in nearby towns. All of these schools provide many extracurricular activities for students to take part in, such as clubs and competitive sports.
