Lincroft

Lincroft is an unincorporated community in Middletown Township. It is conveniently located approximately 15 minutes from the Red Bank train station. At Red Bank station, commuters can take the North Jersey Coast Line into New York City or Hoboken.

In their spare time, residents can visit Red Bank, which has a variety of things to do. Video game enthusiasts can visit Yestercades, which has a collection of classic video games. Families can see a show in Red Bank at the Count Basie Theatre or Two Rivers Theater. Those who like shopping can do so in Red Bank or visit the Monmouth Mall and the Jersey Shore Outlets.

For those who like being out in nature, Lincroft is home to the 667-acre Thompson park, which houses the Monmouth County Park system headquarters in the Thompson Park Visitor Center. The visitor center is the former home of Geraldine Thompson, whose estate donated 215 acres to the park system. The Thompson family residence is a grand colonial revival mansion that is open to the public at certain times. Thompson Park also has 14 miles of multi-use trails with 4.9 miles of those paved. It also has a playground, a picnic area, tennis courts, and athletic fields for soccer and rugby. Those who want to fish can do so in the lake. There are canoes for rent on certain weekends.

Since Lincroft is part of Middletown, Lincroft's students attend the Middletown Public School District. Children in grades K-5 attend Lincroft Elementary School. Lincroft is also home to several private schools and the campus of Brookdale Community College that contains High Technology High School. St. Leo the Great School is a private Catholic elementary school. Christian Brothers Academy is a Christian all-boys college preparatory school. Oak Hill Academy, which serves students in K-8, is the only private, nonsectarian school in town.
